The technical committee of the Sierra Leone Cricket Association will today announce the names for four national teams to start effective training this week, according to reports.
Among the four national teams, that will start training, are the senior male team, senior female team, U-19 Boys and the U-17 female team.
Daniel Sesay, the Secretary General of the Association, who also doubles as the U-19 Team Manager, said the technical committee has selected 20 players for each team, which the committee will announce today.
He furthered that the committee will also name coaches that will be assigned to be in charge of the various teams.
The four teams, he said, are preparing for international competitions, which are set for next year.
“The training will be followed by the kick-off of the various national leagues when the ban in sports is generally lifted by the government,” he said.
Sesay also stated that, before this time, the coaches have already been communicating with the players on how they will be going about it, and the measures they will be putting in place for training sessions.
