Magistrate Alhaji Suliaman Koroma, the presiding Magistrate of the Ross Road Magistrate Court No.1, has sentenced Mohamed Bah and Musa Samura to three (3) years imprisonment each.
The two men were before the court for allegedly stealing certain valuable property, which include one Total Hillux with registration No. ALL 228, a Guinean passport, Guinean driver’s license, five yards Bamako material, one electric tooth brush, one black lady’s shoe, and other valued items, all totaling seventeen million, eight hundred and sixty five thousand Leones (Le17, 865, 000),which property belongs to Madam Haja Zainab.
The incident took place on the 13th December, 2020 at Kissy Road in Freetown.
When the charge was put to both accused, by the court Clerk, Mr. Blango, both pleaded guilty. However, the police prosecutor, Inspector Mohamed Gbangbor, tendered the voluntary caution and charged statements of the accused to form part of the court`s records.
According to Inspector Gbangbor, both accused were not first time offenders though they begged for mercy. They were sentenced to three years imprisonment each.
